Full Moon Island Resort’s inception is a tale of serendipity and vision. During an impromptu stay on a secluded island, Mr. Lay Prohas and his wife, Pen Vokhanith, were captivated by a night illuminated by the celestial glow of the full moon. It was this moment of wonder that catalyzed the creation of a unique retreat. Resting within a trio of islands, the resort is a harmonious blend of untouched natural beauty and refined architectural elegance.
The name “Full Moon Island” was chosen to encapsulate the mystique and allure of those luminous nights, symbolizing the romantic essence of the locale. Under Mr. Prohas’s strategic foresight and Ms. Vokhanith’s diligent stewardship, the resort emerged as a distinguished sanctuary along the coast.
The founders’ ambition was to establish a legacy for their children — a legacy that has flourished into an emblem of familial devotion, aspirational living, and the captivating splendor of the full moon that guide us forward.

Established in 2008 by the esteemed Mr. Lay Prohas, Full Moon Island Resort is the flagship venture of Full Moon Island Co., Ltd., situated in the serene Kiri Sakor district of Koh Kong Province, Cambodia. Endorsed by the Royal Government of Cambodia, our company proudly encompasses three pristine islands, each offering its own unique slice of paradise.
